De skugglösa
Graphic design for the novel »De skugglösa« by the turkish author Hasan Ali Toptaş. The residents of a remote turkish mountain village suddenly begins to disappear, one after the other and soon strange things start to happen. »De skugglösa« is a story that moves between different realities – between city and countryside, between surrealistic and lifelike events, between now and then. The novel has become a cult novel in the home country, and the author has been described as »the turkish Franz Kafka«.
The bookcover is a dreamy collage made of snowfall, winding roads, mountains, city buildings and different parts of nature and the image is then mirrored on the backside. The shape on the backcover is inspired by Otoman archicture.
