Graphic design for »Regn i Nhã Nam«, a collection of short stories by the vietnamese author Nguyễn Huy Thiệp, Bokförlaget Tranan. In these short stories, Vietnam’s chequered history unfolds through a peculiar blend of fairy tale and realism, often set among the mountain minorities.
Combining realistic photography with water and paint, I sought to evoke a misty, dreamlike atmosphere. This handmade quality echoes the spirit of the stories, where the real and the mythical flow into one another.
